The schedule of the May 2012 CPA Board Exam is drawing near and reviewees must be very busy right now with their preboards exams and final preparations. In less than 30 days, CPA hopefuls will troop to the exam venues in various cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo & Legazpi. To those who are searching for the exam schedules, here is a snippet of the schedule from the BOA memo.

If you have yet to take the preboard exams, don’t fool yourself by copying from your seatmates. It’s pointless and will not work. I remember a seatmate who was busy looking at my papers and that of her friend. I played a bad boy role and mockingly covered my answer sheets. I couldn’t  help but laugh at the situation especially when she threw a dagger look at me. Exams during review aren’t like the exams and quizzes you take in college.  These are just self-assessment that will help you gauge your performance.

I also heard stories of reviewees getting the answer keys from review assistants just to have some form of bragging rights for topping the preboard. Well, it could be fun for them. But in the end, who suffers?

If you’re getting low scores on the preboard, don’t lose hope. Strive harder. They say that the actual exam is easier than the preboard.  Or it could be the adrenaline rush on the exam day itself.  Here’s hoping that your name will be included in the list of passers of the May 2012 CPA board exam.  All the best to you!

The May 2012 CPA board exam results and list of passers is now available. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,995 out of 5,315 or 37.5% passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this May 2012.

The results, as expected, were released in one (1) working day after the last day of examination.

The members of the Board of Accountancy are Atty. Eugene T. Mateo, Chairman; Luis A. Cañete, Dr. Rufo R. Mendoza, (inhibited) and Jose S. Tayag, Jr., Members.

The October 2010 Philippine CPA Board exam results and list of passers is now here. Exam results are released one day after its last day.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced today that 3,973 out of 8,216 (48.36%) examinees passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this October 2010.
