World’s Best Universities Ranking


UK’s University of Cambridge once again is no.1 in the U.S. News World’s Best Universities ranking. Harvard University and MIT came close at 2nd and 3rd, respectively. The top ten are either US or UK-based universities.

The ranking actually reached the top 400 universities worldwide. Six distinct indicators were evaluated: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, proportion of international faculty, proportion of international students, and citations per faculty.

Asia’s best university in this 2011 ranking is University of Hongkong at no. 22. Two schools from the Philippines are in the top 400. University of the Philippines (UP) is at no. 332 while Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) is ranked at no.360. If you are a graduate of these two Philippine Schools, you have all the reasons to be proud of it.

For young dreamers who have the money, guts and brains, you should set your sights at any of these world’s best universities.
