Expectations for 2011


Today is the last day of 2010 and I am here at Starbucks Ayala Terraces Cebu typing my last blog entry for the year. Wow! How time flies so fast! A little over two decades ago, this place used to be a golf course. Now, the place is filled with high-rise buildings, a world-renowned hotel and a popular mall. I simply sat down and couldn’t help thinking about 2011.

List of Holidays for the Philippines in 2011


Malacañang issued Proclamation No. 84 today, declaring the regular holidays, special non-working days, and one special school holiday for 2011. To those folks who already bought plane tickets and made hotel reservations expecting the usual holiday economics of the previous administration, you might as well file your vacation leaves in advance.

Most of the holidays in 2011 fall on a Saturday or Sunday. Those employees without Saturday work, it’s going to be your usual weekend. Here’s the list of Philippine Holidays for the year 2011:
