Happy New Year 2010 and other Text Messages

Happy New Year 2010 my friends! In a few hours from now, my cellphone will be filled with text messages from New Year well-wishers. Half of them could be listed in my cellphone’s address book. Half would only reflect the number. “Hu u?”, should I text back? Or should I only reply with the standard, “Happy New Year, too!”?

Happy New Year 2010, New Year SMS Text Messages and Quotes

The first New Year’s text message I got for today is from a friend who now resides in Dumaguete City.

“A HAPPY LIFE is when you
expect less,
give more,
need less,
laugh a lot,
dream big,
work hard,
play often and
be thankful.
Wishing you a HAPPY LIFE in 2010.”

I know I saved some of last year’s messages. But the virus got them. All of the messages stored in my Nokia N82 got deleted. My other phone had a few Christmas and New Year’s messages left.  Here’s one message I composed sometime in 2007 and sent to that same friend mentioned above.

“GOD makes all things beautiful in His time. May you delight in Him and may He’ll give you the desires of your heart. Happy New Year to you and to your family! Cheers for 2008!”

Do you just forward New Year’s text messages and quotes, or do you personalize the message? I will post some unique text messages here later. Cheers for 2010!

“We may receive the same New Year’s message year after year, but we we’ll always receive various kinds of blessings. Have a prosperous New Year ahead of you!”

Just FYI, if I got “GOD makes all things beautiful in His time. May you delight in Him and may He’ll give you the desires of your heart. Happy New Year to you and to your family! Cheers for 2008!” on my cell phone from an unknown number, I’d just figure it was church spam. ;) But coming from you, Novz, and coupled with that promise not to add text links to comments, it’s a blessing and one I’m happy to return to you and your family. Thank you.

Usually I just send a simple “Happy New Year” sms text. BTW, happy new year to you too… wish you all the best

I try to personalize my greetings, but noticeably, there’s less text messages this year, blame it on facebook! Haha

    Happy New Year!

Well, I sometimes use an original message esp if they were really my friends ever since.

But most if the time, I only use forwarded messages lalo na kung may design lol!

Generic messages for special occasions like Christmas, New Year, birthdays? I don’t feel a thing for them. And rarely do I forward them to other friends. I’ve this thing for personally written felicitations, mangled spelling and all. At least they’re original no? Ahehehe
