Looking Back At Past Posts – Part 1

Admittedly, there aren’t many posts here unlike the early days of this site. And sometimes, the posts that I made were targeted at search engine users. Board exam results here, boxing results there. These led me to reread one of my early posts: For whom do you blog?

I guess we have our various reasons for blogging. It may not be as noble as others would expect us to do. Why do we blog in the first place? I got my 5 reasons why I blog. You may even have yours too and wrote about it. Have you read the article about blogging’s effect to the brain? No, blogging won’t be your entry to the mental hospital. LOL!

Sometimes, non-blogger friends we know would even say that blogging is just a waste of time. Is it? Then we explain to them our own version of blogging 101: What to write in a blog. As we expound, and defend the cause of blogging, we form some blog plans at the back of our minds. Do you have a blog plan? Wow! Blogging must be some kind of career that you would want to embark. Plan here, plan there. Plans to promote the blog, get huge traffic, make more money, and try your luck at fame.

Then we went further at changing our url and leaving behind the tails it once had, from a free medium to a paid one. Maybe because we got convinced that serious blogging needs a more credible name, from a “thoughts” blog to some kind of personal brand. For others, seriousness takes way the fun in blogging. Really?

Ah, the blogs of lives! From just one blog to 10 or even more sites, we want to target each niche we know we can passionately write about, and earn more in the process too. From the simple bloggers we used to be, we’re now into some blog management roles: CEOs of our blogging empires. Too high to reach! Yay!

Note: The links here will lead to my previous posts, which exactly has the same title as the anchor text. SEO-wise, they say that internal linking is good. But my intention is to bring some of my past posts to life. You may read them and even comment on them. Maybe some of these reflect your own experiences too.

Came here from your writing blog. Bloggers indeed have different reasons why they blog.

For me blogging is my outlet for writing. Writing is a sort of release- release from the humdrum of daily living, or simply a release of the thoughts that sometimes crowd my “small” mind.

I lost the muse at this particular time, so I’ll just come forth with the main purpose of my visit; that of inviting you to write for our Inspirational Book. You can read some of the entries in my blog to give you an idea of what it is all about.

    Thanks.
