Goodbye, 2008! Hello, 2009!

In a few hours from now, it will be another year again. I don’t know much about your year 2008 but mine was pretty exciting. There were ups and downs, frustrations and encouragements, happy days and of tears, bright skies and storms.

There are some things I failed to do in 2008. I missed my $100 adsense goal by $5. Subscriber counts didn’t increase that much. I haven’t put up a webhost for two of my other domain names. Traffic decreased and my sites were down many times. I only got a few posts this December. Comments had become rare. I even wondered if this site had been hacked because two legit comments had disappeared. My bloghopping time decreased too.

But I look forward to 2009 with high hopes. And I wish you all my friends a happy and prosperous new year!

Christmas in Cebu

I haven’t updated this blog for more than 10 days. I was so busy that I even had less time for sleep, and no time to blog or hop around. It’s been more than a month since I was officially transferred in Manila. There are so many things to be done and so many plans for 2009 hovering in my head. But one thing I’m looking forward to this Christmas is my trip back to Cebu.

Christmas in Cebu

How is Christmas celebrated in Cebu? It’s still the Christmas that you and I celebrate. There are parties and family celebrations. The famous lechon of Cebu is always present at the table. (Despite the many lechon I ate here in Manila, I still could not find the familiar taste of Cebu. No sauce needed.) The Christmas trees, kris kringle, singing, and the games are always part of the program. It is such a merry Christmas in Cebu!

The parties I attended here in Manila are nothing compared to being with my dear one back in Cebu. So, despite the steep plane fare price, I booked a ticket just to be with my love this Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas, friends! As you enjoy the holidays, remember Jesus Christ and what He has done for you more than 2,000 years ago!

Kris Kringle Ideas For Officemates

Kris Kringle is simply another name for Santa Claus. But we often hear the words around our offices only on Christmas Season, and often referred to as the secret exchanging gifts or manito-manita. It’s the time of the year when work mates get to be creative in coming up with the craziest kris kringle gift ideas.

Our office Christmas kris kringle started last week but I haven’t given a gift yet. I had a difficulty recalling the name I picked. I still got to see the list to confirm my suspicions. The alias started with some puss*..something. I have not received a gift either. So it was just fair, or she could be stingy.

Pacquiao VS De La Hoya: Blog Round-Up

A lot of bloggers had been posting about the Pacquiao-De La Hoya fight even long before the scheduled bout. Some had titles anticipating the results. Whatever their motives are, they have their own say about it. Some are just posting announcements, with keywords enough to be captured by the search engines. There are others who had their predictions and analysis, like these two below:

For Oscar De La Hoya

Selaplana.com“.. if we will look at the advantages of the Golden Boy like his height, weight, reach and experience, I think, Manny has the higher percentage of losing this game.”
