Thanks for the tips. I just wanted to comment that in your list, I think the first one should be the “Believe in Yourself” part. You see based on what I saw in the past (I an a CPA already), the major issue in taking it. There are a lot of casualties in the past that it is becoming scary to take the exams.

But things have changed now. With the last 2 Board exams high passing average, the times have changed. So it is better to take the board exam now more than ever.

hi there!
I actually have taken the CPA Board Exam last Oct 2008 and almost got a license. I then decided to work and retake the while working. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to retake because of certain issues with the bank that I am working. As of now, I transferred to a multinational bank because there is no overtym here. I also enrolled in RESA for the October 2010 exa. My concern for now are the revisions and amendments. Can you help me know these revisions and amendments. I would be very glad if you guys could help me. Almost all of t=our batchmates in UP Iloilo are CPAs. I guess only of us are not…help me be one of them…hehe!

hi chiara, you have to meet the minimum requirements. One is that, you have to graduate from an Accountancy course. Go ask you college’s commerce/accountancy department about it. You may need to take a few more units to become eligible to take the CPA board.

Hi! I just want to ask if it is required to have finished an accounting course before taking the CPA Exam. I want to review for the CPA exam BUT i did not take an accounting course in college, but a business mgt one. I did take a few accouting units but maybe just around 12 units or less. Is it required to have taken up BSA or BSBAA in order to take the CPA board exam? Please get back to me. I would really really appreciate it! Thanks!
