CEBU SEO CONTEST

For the SEO newbie enthusiasts, joining small contests is a practice ground wherein you hone your skills when you really want to tread the pretty exciting and treacherous world of SEO. Lhurey, a blogger from Cebu, has his Cebu Seo Contest wherein you only need to do the following:

1. Make a post about his contest
2. Link to his blog (not the post) using “Cebu Seo Contest” as the anchor text, and
3. Comment on his post (with your complete name) stating that you joined his contest.

The contest is open only to residents of the Philippines and will end on September 2, 2008 at 6:00PM. Contestants whose blogs top in Google search for the Cebu SEO Contest keyword on September 8, 2008 will win the following:

Top 1 position (September 8, 2008)
P700.00 cash via MLhuillier Kwarta Padala
Free 1 year hosting and a free .com, .org, .net or .info domain
+500 EC

Top 2 position (September 8, 2008)
Php 500.00 cash via MLhuillier Kwarta Padala
+1000 EC

Top 3 position (September 8, 2008)
Php 500.00 cash via MLhuillier Kwarta Padala
+500 EC

Right now, it’s Lhurey’s site that sits on top. Let’s unseat him and join the fun in the Cebu SEO Contest. It’s the learning that counts and I know that plenty of SEO enthusiasts are now joining for the experience. The prizes are only secondary.

    about the busby, im a member of seoph and members there are trying to help those who are on the second and first page, that is why i posted an entry from my blog to show support.

    i beg to disagree.. pogung, an indonesian, i believe is a one-man-team, unlike the french team. nagkakaisa din mga filipinos, hindi lang halata.

    jayl, i’ve never been to the seoph forum (or maybe I did once). pogung’s site is inaccessible again today. probably some hacks found its way in his site. too bad if he’ll fail. strip for seo? haha. that would surely catapult you to the top of serp. and of course a huge traffic. haha.

    It’s good to know that there are such domain contests like this one. It’s a good opportunity for startup web entrepreneurs. I’ve also found http://www.squadhelp.com as a good source for domain name suggestions. They engage people across the world who submit ideas – and the best idea wins the award amount. It sure beats the time and energy you would have spent to come up with business names.
