May 2008 Philippine CPA Board Exam Results

The results of the May 2008 Philippine Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Board Exam is posted here. Feel free to scroll down and read more. This is for the exams held last May 11-12 and 18-19, 2008 in the different cities in the Philippines. I felt like posting the results here because I once took the CPA board exam and passed it on my first take in October 1995. Whew! How time flies so fast!

Passing the CPA board exam is one of my life’s greatest moments. I remember that day when the results came in the paper, a neighbor visited our house and brought the good news. I rushed to the nearest newsstand and there grabbed a Philippine Star, the only one at that time that carried the complete and readable results. (We don’t have the internet yet at that time). I was so happy for myself and for my friends who made it. I was even happier for my friends who landed on the top three.

I know the thrill and excitement of waiting for the results. Even non-takers, friends and relatives of examinees are excited of browsing the results hoping for a familiar name. My staffs here are busy surfing the net for the results. I gave them the result as soon I got the file from a friend.

To the new CPA’s, my congratulations! Welcome to the fold!

The PRC announces that 1,268 out of 4,651 (27%) passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the Cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legaspi.
