Entrecard: Advert Requests Declined

“53.85% of advert requests declined”goes my advert approval stats. But wait, don’t spank me or be bothered by it. This blog is only less than 15 days old (net of my downtime days) in the entrecardsphere. I’ve just probably declined around 10-12 adverts.

When I first joined entrecard, even before I learned what it is all about, I noticed that my ad price was only 2ec. I didn’t want to sell my blog adspace short so I declined the first wave of adverts. When I was already comfortable with the price (around 20ec which is still cheap), I started accepting the second wave of adverts.

When this blog became inaccessible for weeks, I had to decline the queueing adverts. I thought it was a waste of ec points for them. But I noticed that adverts kept on coming even if my site was inaccessible. I guess they were more concerned of my low price rather than actually advertising on my page. They must have not visited my blog. Those ec points could have gone down the drain.

When I registered another blog in entrecard, I thought the practice of declining adverts for pricing reasons is a bad idea. I felt bad when someone rejects my ad purchase, yet these rejections are actually very rare. So I promised myself that I’d accept all appropriate adverts regardless of their purchase price. So far, I’ve only declined one site with inexistent or inaccessible landing page. I sent him a message and my reason for the decline.

Now, what do you think of entrecarders with high percentage of advert requests declined?

    ceblogger,

ayos lang yun. actually hindi naman dapat personalin yung pag-decline ng adverts. ok lang, in my opinion, kahit i-decline ako ng ilang entre members.

jessie, it’s really nothing personal and i learn to get over it whenever my purchase is rejected.
