Bb. Pilipinas World 2008: Interview Portion Comedy

Ms. Janina San Miguel had a hearty laugh despite the terrible grammar blunder during the interview question. Tough 10 alright! Good thing she didn’t spit out profanities but maintained her composure. That would have been worse.

Honestly, I really wanted to hide when I watched the replays of the youtube video from Ambo’s site. From most of the blogs I bumped into, it seems that we put a lot of weight on her misfired answers. But look at this beautiful Filipina. You would certainly agree that she’s a beauty to behold. Oh yeah, if only the contest was all about beauty.

You might ask why she was allowed to join. She’s only 17 and the risk of cracking under pressure is very high. That would be for her handlers to answer. Let us give her time to blossom and not jump to premature judgments as if we can do better if put on the same stage. Give her a few months of coaching, perhaps one of those callcenter-like trainings, or personality improvement. She has the confidence alright and the potential to make it big. The challenge would now be at the hands of Bb. Pilipinas organization.
